ABOUT US
On September 11, 2001 two terrorist hijacked planes flew into the twin towers of the World Trade Center...
At the Grand Rapids 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb, we pay tribute to the 343 firefighters who selflessly gave their lives to save others on September 11, 2001. As we approach the 22nd anniversary of 9/11, it is important to never forget the sacrifices made by these brave individuals and their families. We invite the community to come together and honor their memory by joining us for this special event. With a day full of activities, including an opening ceremony, climb, we are sure to achieve our goal of raising funds for the National Fallen Firefighter's Foundation that serves the first responder community.
The funds raised benefit local firefighters, the FDNY Counseling Service Unit, and the programs of the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation to support the families of our nation's fallen firefighters.
